What is the Parent Coalition?

Make a Difference. Get Involved!

The Great Start Parent Coalition provides parents and caregivers a chance to have a voice in a truly “grassroots” effort to advocate for the children of Jackson County.

Parents have access to training in leadership and advocacy to empower them to speak out on behalf of Jackson County’s children, as well as providing them with a supportive network of friends and the opportunity to have fun and make a difference in our community.

The coalition is open to all parents/caregivers in Jackson County ages birth to 12 who are committed to ensuring a great start for every child!  Your opinions and suggestions are needed to improve the services and programs for Jackson families!

Free child care and mileage reimbursement is available.

For more details, download our informational brochure on the Parent Coaltion.
